If you're a Colorado Springs local and you haven't been to Corter Coffee yet, honestly — what are you waiting for?

The coffee is excellent, but that's almost beside the point. What I love about Corter is how it feels when you walk in. It's cozy, it's warm, and it has that genuine sense of community that a lot of places try to manufacture but never actually pull off. In my opinion, this one pulls it off.

Every time I've been in, the staff remembered my name and my order. They actually seem happy to be there, which — if you've been to enough coffee shops in this city — you know isn't always a given.

When I looked at their menu I found it to be creative. I also love that they roast their own beans, and I found that their drinks are unique enough that you'll probably discover a new favorite every time you visit. But what keeps me coming back isn't just the coffee. It's the feeling that I'm a regular even when I haven't been in for a while.
